Church Administration

Witness Ministry

This Witness Ministry provides for worship services that are relevant and meaningful to meet the diverse spiritual needs of the congregation. Witness ministry also creates outreach programs to invite and welcome the community to worship, as well as follow-up programs for new visitors. Chair: Pastor Gibson. For more information contact Pastor Lamarr Gibson at lgibson@wisconsinumc.org or 608-873-3273.

Church Council

The Council leads the church community in creating a strategic plan for the local congregation. It is composed of elected leaders, ministry chairs and the Pastor. The Council's purpose is to plan and implement a program of nurture, outreach, witness, and resources; to envision, plan, implement and evaluate the mission and ministry of the church; and to function as the administrative agency of the charge conference. Chair: Dottie Petersen.  For more information contact the Chair or Pastor.

Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is responsible for the oversight and supervision of the real and personal property of the church, including legal, financial and insurance matters. Chair: Tom Lunde.  For more information contact the Chair or Pastor.

Finance Team

The Finance Team manages the finance system for the congregation, including raising, managing, and dispersing the finances so that the mission and vision of the congregation can be achieved. The Finance Team is made up of persons who, by virtue of other leadership responsibilities, link the team to other areas of congregational life, as well as several persons who are nominated in recognition of their committment to stewardship. Chair: Jeff Zarth. For more information contact the Chair or Pastor.

Lay Leadership Development Team

The Lay Leadership Development Team encourages the spiritual leadership of the local congregation. The Leadership Team's purpose is to identify, develop, and evaluate Christian spiritual leadership in the church. In addition, this team provides educational sessions focused on leadership and church-wide social functions. Chair: Pastor Gibson. Vice-Chair: Cindi Ritter. For more information contact the Chair, Vice-Chair or Pastor.

Staff Pastor Parish Relations Team (SPPRT)

SPPRT is somewhat similar to a personnel office or human resources department.  The SPPRT has the primary responsibility to work with staff to assure that the mission of the church is realized.  SPPRT has the responsibility to evaluate the pastor and the staff and to determine salary recommendations.  They are the primary liaison between the congregation and staff.  While many of the responsibilities are formal and even legalistic the church leadership wants the team to focus its attention on God and away from "business as usual."   Chair:  Maralee Thomas.  For more information contact the Chair or Pastor.
