Our Hometown Ministries

 Food Pantry

The Food Pantry supports a self-selected monthly program of grocery and supply provisions for those in need in Stoughton. The necessary tasks to run the Food Pantry include shopping for food and supplies, stocking items, greeting participants, coordinating pantry visits, and completing paperwork.  For more information please contact Jan Priebe or Jeanne-Schwass-Long.  They receive mail in the Food Pantry mailbox in the narthex of the Church or call the Church Office at 873-3273.  Learn more...

 Volunteers in Mission

Volunteers in Mission is a ministry that works through the Conference. The UMC Conference offers coordinated mission opportunities within the state, nation and also overseas. The focus on missions varies, bependent on the need of the people and the location of the mission. Our congregation is alerted of these opportunities via the newsletter.  Shalom Clinic

Shalom is a clinic for the poor and uninsured of the Stoughton school district that focuses on physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health. Shalom is an ecumenical ministry that was birthed at Stoughton United Methodist Church. The clinic staff includes: office help, cleaning help, registered nurses, mental health counsellors, social workers, physical therapist and physicians (including a psychiatrist).  Community Worship

Stoughton United Methodist Church provides community worship at Harmony House, Willow Pointe, and McCarthy House on a weekly basis during several months of the year. This means of worship is the only worship many of the resident's experience. With interest, contact Cindy Ritter. 

 Care Ministry

The Care Ministry leads and facilitates ministries of care and support to the congregation and community members. This ministry provides care to members who are sick or are in need and visits the sick, homebound, and inactive members. Serving Beyond Home

Global Missions

A group of folks who are focused on global mission meet on a monthly basis. They are actively supporting Paul Webster's mission in Mujuilla Falls, Zambia, Africa and a poverty stricken sister church in East Angola, Africa through correspondence, fund raising events, and educational opportunities.
