SUMC Partnering with START this Christmas Season

We are excited to partner once again with Stoughton Area Resource Center (START) to provide Christmas Trees to three local families. These three families have gone from homeless to housed in the last six months, after experiencing significant trauma. When approached about receiving a tree from SUMC, “both families were delighted!,” shared Laura Braund, START Executive Director.

Each family is hoping for a tree with multi-colored lights and ornaments with no particular theme. If you would like to donate a tree or ornaments in like-new condition, or contribute financially toward the purchase of a tree and ornaments please contact Tanya in the church office. In addition to acquiring the trees, we will also deliver the trees to the families. If you would like to be a part of that special experience, please let Tanya know and we will work to coordinate a time that works for all parties involved.
